Cardiac MRI is becoming increasingly important in the non-invasive diagnosis of heart disease. Mapping procedures expand the spectrum of tissue-specific analyzes without invasive biopsies. In this thesis, cardiac MRI data (T1 / T2 mapping, extracellular volume) were evaluated from not previously selected patients. The aim was to generate mapping reference values for patients with and without left ventricular pathology, to investigate the efficiency of the mapping procedures with regard to the differentiation between normal findings and various left ventricular pathologies and to work out their potential as a screening method.
