Contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) based on K-edge subtraction (KES) helps to identify uncertain findings in standard mammography. As CESM requires two acquisitions, dose reduction is a crucial issue. Here, two dual-energy dose-compatible CESM approaches were evaluated with a compact synchrotron source.
