Ziel dieser Arbeit war zum Einen das Überleben von leitliniengerecht behandelten Patienten mit singulärem, primärem pT1/ pT2, pN0, R0 Plattenepithelkarzinom der Mundhöhle darzustellen. Des Weiteren sollte die Sprech- und Schluckfunktion dieser Patienten – auch im Hinblick auf Aspekte der Lebensqualität – untersucht werden. Es zeigte sich, dass vor allem T-Stadium und Sicherheitsabstand das Überleben beeinflussen. Beinahe alle Patienten gaben auf die Tumoroperation zurückführbare Veränderungen bzw. Beeinträchtigungen hinsichtlich ihrer Sprech- und Schluckfunktion an. Diese erwiesen sich insbesondere als abhängig vom T-Stadium.     «

The aim of this study was to represent the survival of patients with singular, primary pT1/ pT2, pN0, R0 squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, who were treated according to the guidelines. Furthermore the speech and swallowing function of these patients were examined – also in terms of quality of life aspects. Especially T stage and safety distance appeared to affect survival. Almost all patients reported changes or handicaps in regard of their speech and swallowing function due to the tumor operation – particularly depending on the T stage.     «
