- Das Ziel dieser Studie war das Ermitteln der Inzidenz der malignen Entartungen des oralen Lichen planus nach CO2-Laserablation verglichen mit konservativer Behandlung. Von 171 Patienten mit erosiver Form des OLP entwickelten 16 ein Plattenepithelkarzinom, davon 2 nach CO2-Lasertherapie und 14 nach symptomatischer Behandlung. - The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of malignancies of oral lichen planus by CO2 laser ablation compared with conservative treatment. 16 of 171 patients with erosive form of OLP developed a squamous cell carcinoma, 2 of them after CO2 laser therapy and 14 after symptomatic treatment. The CO2 laser ablation is thus the most effective method to prevent the development of squamous cell carcinoma and can be recommended as a treatment of first choice.
