In 49 postmenopausal women with breast cancer and osteoporosis vertebral fractures were evaluated and hr-MRT- with bone density measurements compared. As structural parameters apparent trabecular bone volumen (app. BV/TV), apparent trabecular thickness (app. Tb Th), apparent trabecular number (app. Tb Nr), apparent trabecular separation (app. Tb Sp) were calculated. There were correlated with BMD vales of lumbar spine and femurs. Eight women were diagnosed with a vertebral fracture for the first time, five with osteopenia, one with normal BMD, two with osteoporotic bone density. The trabecular structure parameters in this population did not correlate with the fracture status.
