- In dieser Metaanalyse wurde die Effektivität, Akzeptabilität und Tolerabilität von Haloperidol mit anderen sog. typischen Antipsychotika bei Schizophrenie verglichen. 57 doppelblinde, randomisierte, kontrollierte Studien mit insgesamt 3372 Teilnehmern wurden in die statistischen Auswertungen eingeschlossen. Signifikante Wirksamkeitsunterschiede zeigten sich nur im Vergleich zu Nemonaprid und hinsichtlich des Risikoprofils war Haloperidol mit der Mehrheit der Kontrollsubstanzen vergleichbar.

- This study aimed to determine the efficacy, acceptability, and tolerability of haloperidol in comparison to other first-generation antipsychotic drugs in schizophrenia employing high-quality meta-analytic methods. 57 randomised controlled trials with 3372 participants were included. In terms of efficacy significant differences could be identified only for Nemonapride and concerning the risk profile haloperidol was comparable to the majority of the other examined first-generation antipsychotics.
