Integration of DVB-H into mobile terminals is of high topical interest. In many cases the physical size of the terminal and antenna is too small to allow for coverage of the full DVB-H band. This paper presents an electrically tunable DVB-H antenna which covers the frequency range 462-696 MHz with a return loss of at least 7 dB and remarkable radiation efficiency, using a volume of only 6 cm3. Emphasis is on the problem of coexistence of DVB-H with EGSM 900 operation which arises from the non-linearity of the tuning element for the DVB-H antenna. A novel combination of non-linearity mitigation techniques is proposed to overcome the problem.
