Abstract:
In this article the Green's function of the transverse scalar potential V is studied extensively. For a grounded single-layered substrate the analytical expressions are derived and a detailed discussion of the quadrature of the Sommerfeld integral is given. The singularity due to the surface wave is examined by means of a Taylor expansion and constitutes the correct evaluation of the integral. By separating the function into a regular and a singular part the Green's function is calculated exactly. The results are compared with the static approximation in the space domain. \textbackslashcopyright 1992 John Wiley & Sons. Inc.
