The spread of electrical mobility in Germany is far behind government's objectives and the expectations of society. The major barriers are high vehicle and energy prices, the limited vehicle range, and the inconvenient charging process. These obstacles could be overcome by various technological alternatives like enhanced battery technologies, fuel cell technology, hybrid drives, redox flow technology, or dynamic inductive charging, i.e. a so-called E\textbarROAD. The aim of the underlying study is to evaluate the different technological alternatives to extend the range of electric vehicles from a techno-economic perspective.
