The age of a primipara has an important influence on the clinical outcome of the pregnancy just as the fetal outcome. Within the elderly primiparous women the development of the pregnancy is guided by the pre-existing conditions and the anamnestic risks of the expectant mother. The rate of preterm infants and the dysmature children increases in the group of the juvenile as well as the group of eldery primiparae; a high rate of surgical delivery is in consequence to be noticed.
