- Die vorliegende Dissertation beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Mobile Pulsoxymetrie. Zunächst werden die Funktionsweise und Grenzen der Pulsoxymetrie beleuchtet, um dann mögliche Einsatzorte wie z. B. in der Medizin, aber auch bei der Ausübung verschiedener Berufe oder in der Telemedizin vorzustellen. Abschließend beschäftigt sich die Arbeit mit der wichtigen Fragestellung des Kosten-Nutzenfaktors eines mobilen Pulsoxymetrie-Gerätes und stellt einige bestehende Patente vor.

- This dissertation deals with the subject Mobile Pulse Oximetry. As a start the functionality and the limits of pulse oximetry are elucidated in order to proceed to the presentation of potential application areas such as medical science, in various branches or in telemedicine. Finally this thesis establishes a cost-benefit analysis for a mobile pulse oximetry apparatus and presents a range of present patents.
