Rare native tree species gain importance for central European forests due to their ecological and economic attributes. This thesis explores the so far little studied structure, growth, and response to drought stress of European hornbeam, European white elm, field maple, true service tree, and wild service tree. Using measurements of different tree variables and tree-ring data, the study provides insights into allometric relationships and growth patterns and offers practical management guidelines.
