- Abstract:
- Diese prospektive Kohorten Studie vergleicht das kardiovaskuläre Outcome von einer Gruppe aus small-for-gestational-age (SGA) Kindern im Alter von einem Jahr mit einer gesunden Kontrollgruppe. Es zeigen sich bereits in diesem Lebensabschnitt signifikant höhere Blutdruckwerte, wohingegen elektro- und echokardiographisch keine Veränderungen nachgewiesen werden konnten. Die Ergebnisse können frühere und regelmäßig durchgeführte Blutdruckkontrollen bei SGA Kindern rechtfertigen.

- This prospective cohort study compares the cardiovascular outcome of a group of small for gestational age (SGA) children at the age of one year with a healthy control group. Significantly higher blood pressure values are already shown at this stage of life, whereas no changes could be detected by electrocardiography and echocardiography. The results may justify earlier and regular blood pressure checks in SGA children.
