Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers worldwide. Curcumin as potential phytotherapeutic agent in cancer therapy should be investigated in a combinated treatment with radiation in pancreatic cancer cell model. Curcumins influences on survival, proliferation, cell cycle, DNA damage and apoptosis were investigated. Both treated cell lines show additive impact of Curcumin to radiation treatment, but curcumin sensitizes cancer cells for radiation therapy in an overadditive way through inducing g2-cell-cycle arrest in Panc-1 cells, but not in MiaPaCa-2 cell line.
