Abstract:

Drug-coated balloon angioplasty for the treatment of coronary drug-eluting stent restenosis is a recommended treatment strategy. We tested the hypothesis, if a novel low dose paclitaxel-coated balloon with citrate-based excipient (Agent PCB, Boston Scientific) (125 patients, 151 lesions) will be non-inferior to a conventional normal dose paclitaxel-coated balloon with iopromide excipient (SeQuent Please PCB, B. Braun) (137 patients, 172 lesions) regarding a primary angiographic endpoint and secondary clinical endpoints.
