- Abstract:
- Unter den pädiatrischen Eingriffen werden die meisten Erythrozytenkonzentrate (EKs) in der Kinderherzchirurgie verabreicht. Untersucht wurden 1356 Eingriffe an Kindern <20Kg. Folgende Faktoren wurden als Prädiktoren für EKs nachgewiesen: Gewicht, Neugeborenenstatus, Operationsdauer, Komplexität des Eingriffs. Darüber hinaus konnte gezeigt werden, dass die EK-Transfusionen signifikant die Aufenthaltsdauer auf der Intensivstation als Surrogatparameter für postoperative Komplikationen verlängern.
- Translated abstract:
- The most red blood cells transfusions (RBCs) in pediatric operations are applied in congenital heart surgeries. 1356 operations on children <20 kg were analyzed. Following factors were shown as predictors for RBC: weight, infant status, operation time and complexity score. Furthermore it could be shown that RBCs prolong the length of ICU stay as a surrogate parameter for postoperative complications.
