Abstract:

The objective of this thesis was to demonstrate the angiological and immunological interaction between lipopolysaccharides (bacterial colonization) and hypoxia / normoxia in an in vitro wound model. This should provide a better understanding of the wound healing cascade of chronic wounds and the possibility of new therapy approaches. Studies using protease profilers and ELISA showed an apparent shift in favor of antiangiogenic growth factors and a persistent inflammatory response under chronic wound conditions. Both were reinforced by the presence of LPS.
