Abstract:

Profiling disease-associated protein signaling networks in tumor tissues is an important component of the strategy for personalized cancer therapy. The aim of this thesis was to assess the potential effects of delayed tissue preservation (cold ischemia) on protein and phosphoprotein levels in human hepatocellular carcinoma by reverse phase protein arrays. To obtain reliable proteomics data, tissue specimens should be stabilized as soon as possible after resection.
