Kurzfassung:
This study evaluated the performance of hybrid fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance (FDG PET/MR) imaging in myocardial viability assessment in patients with chronic total occlusions (CTO) of coronary arteries, and in the prediction of regional wall motion recovery after revascularisation of CTO lesions, in comparison to PET and MR alone. FDG PET/MR imaging showed a fair accuracy in predicting wall motion improvement after CTO revascularisation, being superior to MR and PET alone.
