Kurzfassung:
Considering the relevance of hypothalamic astrocytes in the control of metabolism, their molecular and spatial responses to a high-fat high-sugar (HFHS) diet were here investigated. HFHS diet not only induced distinctive transcriptomic and proteomic responses in hypothalamic astrocytes, but also changes in the number and spatial profile of astrocytes expressing distinct molecular markers, specifically in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus (ARC).
