Ziel der Studie war es daher anhand von laborchemischen Methoden, insbesondere der sog. ROTEM Analyse, den Einfluss einer Dialysebehandlung mittels SLED (Sustained low efficiency dialysis) auf das Gerinnungssystem unter Berücksichtigung der Antikoagulation bei Intensivpatienten zu analysieren. Es zeigte sich, dass SLED zu keiner relevanten Aktivierung des Gerinnungssystems führt und die verwendeten Antikoagulantien unter den ausgewählten Gesichtspunkten sicher für den Patienten und gut steuerbar sind.      «

Artificial surfaces like dialysis membranes or -filters lead to an activation of the coagulation system. For this reason anticoagulation is needed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of SLED (sustained low efficiency dialysis) on the coagulation system of critically ill patients, based on laboratory methods, especially ROTEM Analysis, regarding anticoagulation. It has been shown, that SLED does not activate the coagulation system in a relevant way and, that anticoagulants used in this study, are safe and good to monitor with common laboratory methods.      «
