- Abstract:
- Transplant function surveillance is inevitable to ensure successful outcome after kidney transplantation, which is essential due to the shortage of transplant organs in Germany. This work examined the value of serum Uromodulin (sUmod) in the kidney transplant setting. sUmod was identified as valuable marker to increase the accuracy of established markers of kidney function in predicting transplant outcomes such as delayed graft function, acute tubular injury and long-term graft function.

- Die Überwachung der Transplantatfunktion ist unvermeidlich für den Erfolg nach Nierentransplantation, was wegen des Organmangels in Deutschland essentiell ist. Diese Arbeit untersuchte die Bedeutung von sUmod im Setting der Nierentransplantation. sUmod wurde als wertvoller Marker zur Verbesserung der Genauigkeit etablierter Funktionsmarkern in der Vorhersage von Transplantations-Outcomes wie verzögerte Transplantatfunktion, akuter Tubulusschaden sowie Langzeit-Transplantatfunktion identifiziert.
