Abstract:
In the present study, we investigated the expression of CXCR4-CXCL12 axis related proteins in OPSCC primary tumors regarding HPV status. Subsequent experiments in vitro revealed a specific expression of CXCR4-CXCL12 axis in HPV positive HNSCC cell lines and the key roles of the CXCR4-CXCL12 axis in HNSCC cell proliferation, migration and chemotaxis. In addition, therapeutic responses were observed in HNSCC cells from antagonist of CXCR4 and cisplatin in migration and chemotaxis assay with regard to HPV status.
