The present work investigates different concepts for CO
2- and PN-reduction for different engine map ranges of gasoline engines. At the homogeneous stoichiometric combustion process, increasing injection pressure up to 800 bar can decrease PN-emissions significantly and also the fuel consumption can be reduced. In part-load condition the advantages of a stratified lean combustion process using two injectors are shown. At lean combustion processes with high-pressure injection different possibilities for leaner combustion are evaluated.
