Abstract:

Translated abstract:
Although tooth extractions in anticoagulated patient are a relevant and increasingly important problem, surgeons and dentists are always faced with the dilemma of whether a vitally essential drug should be discontinued or changed, or continued with the risk of a potentially dangerous postoperative bleeding. The aim of the present study was the identification of influencing factors for postoperative bleeding risk in tooth extractions in order to formulate instructions for handling anticoagulated patients. The results of this work are based on the recommendations of the 2017 published guideline on the topic of dental surgery under anticoagulants.
