Für eine Etablierung von Wiederverwendungsprozessen im Bausektor sind fundamentale Veränderungen erforderlich. Neben dem Umdenken aller involvierten Akteurinnen und Akteure erfordert dies neue Regeln und Strukturen, die sowohl in theoretischer als auch in architektonischer Form entwickelt werden müssen. Die Arbeit widmet sich der gebauten Infrastruktur als wesentlicher Grundlage für die großmaßstäbliche Wiederverwendung von Bauprodukten. Diese umfasst Orte, an denen Bauprodukte im Wiederverwendungsprozess umgeschlagen, zwischengelagert und auf ihre neue Nutzung vorbereitet werden können. Zentrale Themenbereiche der gebauten Infrastruktur werden im Verlauf der Arbeit identifiziert, vertieft und weiterentwickelt. Weiterhin werden räumliche Anforderungen und Potenziale für Circular Construction Hubs auf Gebäudeebene untersucht und aufgezeigt. Durch ein Zusammenspiel von Theorie und Entwurf werden fundierte Visionen für Circular Construction Hubs und ein zirkuläres Wertschöpfungsnetzwerk entwickelt. Damit leistet die Arbeit einen Beitrag zur Orientierung innerhalb des bislang wenig erforschten Themenfeldes und legt eine Grundlage für einen zukünftigen Diskurs.     «

In order to establish effective reuse processes within the construction sector, it is essential to implement fundamental changes to existing practices. It is imperative for all stakeholders to reconsider their roles and responsibilities. However, the development of new regulations and structures in both theoretical and architectural form is also a necessity. This thesis is dedicated to the built infrastructure, which serves as a fundamental basis for the large-scale reuse of building products. This encompasses locations where building products can be transferred, temporarily stored, and prepared for their new use during the reuse process. The work identifies, deepens and develops key areas of the built infrastructure. Furthermore, it examines and demonstrates spatial requirements and potential for circular construction hubs. Through an interplay of theory and design, it develops profound visions for circular construction hubs and a circular value creation network. In this way, the work makes a contribution to the field of study by providing a foundation for future discussions on this little-researched topic area.     «
