- Abstract:
- Das Mammakarzinom ist bei Frauen die häufigste maligne Tumorerkrankung und komplementärmedizinische Verfahren, wie die Misteltherapie, werden häufig eingesetzt. Valide Daten, insbesondere in Bezug auf Bestrahlung, sind rar. Die Radiosensitivität von Mistelextrakt (VAE) wurde an den Mammakarzinomzelllinien MCF-7 und SK-BR-3 wurde in mehreren Assays mit ansteigenden Strahlendosen untersucht. Beide Zelllinien zeigen unterschiedliche Effekte und VAE kann die Radiosensitivität erhöhen oder senken.

- Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Complementary medicine like mistletoe are common to support standard therapies, but published data, especially to irradiation, are rare. The radiosensitivity of Viscum album extract (VAE) in human mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines MCF-7 and SK-BR-3 was tested in different assays with increasing irradiation dose.
