Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an almost universally fatal disease with a five-year survival rate of 10% that is projected to become the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the Western world within the next decade. This underscores the urgent need to identify novel therapeutic targets for PDAC. In this study, the functions of the transcription factors FRA1 and MYC in PDAC were analyzed, in particular regarding their role in mediating therapy responses to MAPK and SUMO inhibitors, respectively.
