Abstract:
This dissertation presents a systematic approach to realize the precise observer-based trajectory tracking of a flexible robot arm using the energy-based port-Hamiltonian system representation. The first design steps are structure-preserving spatial discretization and model order reduction. The model structure is exploited for the inversion-based feedforward control and the observer-based state difference feedback control. Experimental results for the reference input and the disturbance response illustrate the quality of the design.
