With the newly developed route for the recovery of lignin from Poacea-dominated meadowgrass (sweet grasses) and the first description of the thermal, mechanical and chemical-structural properties of organosolv properties of organosolv lignin from meadow grass, access to an engineered lignin of high technical lignin of high purity is created. The description of the process-structure-property relationships of thermoplastic lignin biocomposites from meadow grass can contribute to the diversification of the agricultural and chemical industries in the future.
