Simulations were done using HYDRUS-1D in combination with the parameter optimization algorithm PEST. A Python code was set up for running the models, carrying out statistical evaluation, extracting simulation results and creating figures.

The dataset is related to the article “Fate of herbicides in cropped lysimeters: 1. Influence of different processes and model structure on vadose zone flow” published in the Vadose Zone Journal. The dataset includes simulations, models and Python scripts for simulating unsaturated flow and stable water isotope transport in the two studied lysimeters.
