In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde untersucht, ob eine Nagelmykose mittels eines Diodenlasers effektiv behandelt werden kann. Dazu wurden 20 Probanden mit Onychomykose beider Großzehennägel randomisiert einer Behandlungs- und Kontrollgruppe zugeteilt und dreimalig mit einem Diodenlaser der Wellenlänge 1064 nm behandelt. Es erfolgte eine mykologische Diagnostik sowie eine Beurteilung der visuellen Veränderung und der subjektiven Schmerzhaftigkeit durch die Behandlung. Durch die Laserbehandlung allein konnte bei Beurteilung sechs Monate nach Beginn der Therapie keine signifikante Verbesserung des Nagelbefundes erzielt werden.     «

In this study the effectiveness of the treatment of onychomycosis by a diode laser was assessed. Therefore twenty subjects with onychomycosis of both big toenails were randomized, divided into a study group and control group und treated three times by a diode laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm. We analysed the mycological results, visual changes and subjective pain caused by the treatment. No significant improvement of the onychomycosis-infected toenails was found by the use of the laser treatment six months after the beginning of the therapy.     «
