Software Engineering for E-Government Applications

In this article we highlight the need for a specialized development method and analysis technique to eliminate certain problem sources peculiar to the E- Government domain. To achieve this goal we propose a domain-oriented object- oriented analysis (OOA) method including the integration of Business Process Reengineering. The inclusion of Business Process Reengineering ist required since the sole implementation of existing administrative processes does not deliver the expected efficiency effects. We currently apply this approach in an explorative project and therefore assume that view-based modeling of subsystems supporting Business Process Reengineering concepts is a promising approach to deal with the challenges of software development for E-Government.     «
