Leontiev, the world of social objects reflects the human skills acquired in the course of sociohistorical practice and reveals each human to be a task. The work exemplifies the possibilities that exist for the appropriation of public spaces with regard to the contemporary spatial and social realities in Mexico City and discusses their function as social learning places for encounter and citizenship (“ciudadanía”), as well as which media and instruments are available for the planner to provide architectural and material impulses for appropriation.
