- Abstract:
- This work aimed to characterize the postprandial glucose response (PPGR) and to evaluate the habitual diet and the genotype as determinants of the inter-individual variation of PPGR. Results suggest that the investigated determinants alone do not sufficiently predict PPGR. Further, the assessment of phenotypes based on the postprandial metabolic response is discussed for the clinical implementation of personalized nutrition treatment strategies in people with obesity.

- In dieser Arbeit werden postprandiale Glukoseantworten (PPGR) charakterisiert und die übliche Ernährung sowie Genotypen als Determinanten der interindividuellen Variation der PPGR untersucht. Ergebnisse zeigen, dass diese Determinanten allein die PPGR nicht ausreichend vorhersagen. Zusätzlich werden Phänotypen, basierend auf der postprandialen metabolischen Antwort, für die Umsetzung von personalisierter Ernährung in der Behandlung von Personen mit Adipositas diskutiert.
