On the one hand, the maintenance of production facilities in the context of Industry 4.0 becomes much more demanding and complex for the people involved. On the other hand, the actors can be efficiently supported by information systems in their work. The development of such systems, however, is challenging and costly. Therefore, this work presents a reference architecture for integrated maintenance systems that promotes a cross-domain development of such systems in a sustainable and technology-independent way.
