In this dissertation promotor analysis with reportergene constructs containing fragments of the Bx1- and Bx2-gene, which are involved in DIMBOA-biosynthesis, and of the Igl-gene, which can be induced by herbivor attack, were carried out in stable transformed maize plants. The aim was to identify components of gene-regulation of these defense-important biosyntheses. The indispensable production of transgenic maize plants with Agrobacterium tumefaciens was established. Moreover Bx4-reportergene constructs were examined in transient analysis with gold particle bombardment.
