In the context of large-scale application of fiber-reinforced composites for automotive construction the braiding process has proven to be a well-suited approach for the production of hollow profile components. In order to achieve a further increase in lightweight construction and cost potential this thesis deals with development approaches for braiding which extend the possibilities of load-oriented component design. Based on process design and validation, the concept is transferred on a practice-oriented application.
