The emitted pheromone bouquet of Norwegian spruces, which were infested by individuals of the European spruce bark beetle, varies with time. In this study the emission of VOCs during the complete time of infestation was analysed. Here fundamental differences between the emission pattern of the F1-generation and F2-generation could be found.
Furthermore in this work a tracheal emission of pheromone compounds of the spruce bark beetle could be observed. For the spruce bark beetle this could be seen as a key function for a risk minimizing infestation of vital standing spruces.
