- We evaluated complete recordings of 166 digital long-term small bowel manometry (LTSBM) performed between 1992-1998. The reference value were 50 healthy subjects. Six main indications (functional abdominal pain, chronic constipation, autonomic neuropathy, intestinal pseudoobstruction, bacterial overgrowth, radiatio enteropathy), illness-spezific motility disorders and four treatment strategies (procinetics, anticholinergics, low-dose-octreotide, avoidence of surgery) were identified.
