- Abstract:
- This thesis deals with the impact of the image guided and adaptive radiotherapy in head neck cancer patients. The morphology of all head neck patients changed during the six to seven weeks of radiotherapy. For all patients repetitive plans were recalculated on the current image. The morphologic changes had a dosimetric effect both on the planning target volume as well as on the organs at risk. The gain by adaptive radiotherapy in individual patients could be substantial.

- Diese Dissertation befasst sich mit der Notwendigkeit und dem Nutzen der bildgeführten-adaptiven Strahlentherapie bei Kopf-Hals Patienten. Die Morphologie aller Kopf-Hals-Patienten veränderte sich während der sechs- bis siebenwöchigen Strahlentherapie. Für alle Patienten wurden repetitive Pläne auf die aktuelle Bildgebung gerechnet.
