Leichte Schädel-Hirn-Traumata und deren potentielle Langzeitfolgen sind ein relevantes Problem in der Sportmedizin. Auf der Suche nach Serummarkern wurden in vorliegender Studie die Serumkonzentrationen der Neuroproteine S-100B, p-NF-H, GFAP und ApoA1 bei Sportlern der Disziplinen Basketball, Eishockey, American Football und Fußball untersucht. Für S-100B und p-NF-H konnte ein signifikanter Unterschied der Serumkonzentration nach leichtem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma verglichen mit Ausgangswerten gezeigt werden. GFAP konnte im Serum nicht nachgewiesen werden und ApoA1 war nicht signifikant erhöht.      «

Mild traumatic brain injuries and their possible long-term consequences are a relevant problem in sports. In search of a quantitative parameter, this study was set up to measure serum concentrations of the neuroproteins S-100B, p-NF-H, GFAP und ApoA1 in athletes in basketball, soccer, American football and ice hockey before and after trauma. For S-100B and p-NF-H there was a significant difference in serum concentrations after a mild traumatic brain injury compared to the concentrations at rest. GFAP could not be detected at all and there was no significant difference in ApoA1 concentrations.     «
