Die Dissertation bietet Einblick in komplexe technologisch-mediierte Dienstleistungen, die durch einen hohen Grad an menschlicher Interaktion zwischen Anbieter und Kunde ausgezeichnet sind. Zur Analyse von Remote Services in einem B2B-Umfeld wird ein multipler Methodenansatz gewählt, der eine konzeptionelle Untersuchung, eine qualitative Interviewstudie in Deutschland, USA und China sowie quantitative Studien umfasst. Die Autorin entwickelt ein neues Model (ITSUM) zur Erklärung der Akzeptanz von Remote Services und validiert dieses in der deutschen Druckindustrie (n=717). Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die kundenseitige Wahrnehmung der Interaktion, des ökonomischen Nutzens sowie individuelle Charakteristika der Organisation und der Technologie die organisationale Nutzung von Remote Services bestimmen. Anhand der Ergebnisse werden Empfehlungen für das Management von Remote Services gegeben sowie ein zukünftiger Forschungsbedarf abgeleitet.
