The human UTY gene is of growing interdisciplinary interest for research on H3K27-demethylation, Y-chromosomal gene evolution and for translational medicine concerning immunotherapy of leukaemia. As little is known on UTY, this thesis is a frontline approach combining the output of basic research, bioinformatic analyses and translational medicine.
