- 12 europäische Zentren mit 475 sinunasalen Plattenepithelkarzinomen wurden in eine retrospektive Multicenter Studie eingeschlossen. Das Tumorgewebe wurde immunhistochemisch auf den Surrogatmarker p16 für HPV, mittels in situ-Hybridisierung auf EBV und HPV, sowie mittels PCR für virale DNA untersucht.
