Die akute myeloische Leukämie (AML) führt zu Knochenmarksinsuffizienz. Dies erfolgt durch Verdrängung der gesunden Hämatopoese und durch Umgestaltung der Nische durch die malignen Zellen. Die Kommunikation der AML-Zellen mit ihrer Nische basiert auf Zell-Zell-Kontakten und auf solublen Faktoren. Es wird vermutet, dass extrazelluläre Vesikel (EV) eine Rolle spielen. Daher wurde die Beladung von EV untersucht und, ob diese durch eine anti-leukämische Therapie mit Azacitidin moduliert wird.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) induces bone marrow insufficiency. This is caused by displacement of the healthy hematopoiesis and by remodeling of the bone marrow niche by the malignant cells. The communication of AML cells with their niche is based on cell-cell contacts and soluble factors. It is assumed that extracellular vesicles (EVs) play a role. Therefore, the cargo of EVs was investigated and whether it is modulated by anti-leukemia therapy with azacitidine.
