- The CT images of 101 patients were included in this retrospective clinical trial. All patients had a resection of the pancreatic head or processus uncinatus. Their CT images were evaluated for the radiological signs "contour irregularity" and "tumor-vein-contact >180°" in the portovenous confluens. All patients were reviewed for a histopathological infiltration of the vessel wall or the tumor-vein-interface ≤1mm. Those findings were secondly set in context with the patients' survival analysis.
