Die Studie untersucht Häufigkeiten von Trauma-Ereignissen sowie die Art ihrer Darstellung in vier verschiedenen Comic-Serien. Hierzu wurden Daten für jeweils 1.500 Bilder pro Comic erhoben und deskriptiv analysiert. Häufigkeitsunterschiede wurden im Anschluss statistisch überprüft. Signifikante Unterschiede zeigten sich in Bezug auf die Anzahl an Bildern mit traumatischen Ereignissen, die Trauma-Ursachen, die Behandlungen sowie die Genesungszeiten. Es ergaben sich zudem Unterschiede in der Darstellungsweise. Der potenzielle Effekt auf kindliche und jugendliche Leser wurde daraus abgeleitet.     «

The study contains a statistical analysis of the number of trauma events and the way they are illustrated in four different comic series. For this purpose, data of 1.500 images per comic were collected and analyzed descriptively. Differences in numbers were then statistically tested. The results showed significant differences in the number of pictures with traumatic events, the cause of trauma, the treatments and the recovery times. Also differences regarding the illustrations were found. In conclusion, the potential effect on child and youth readers could be interpreted.     «
