In plant manufacturing, the operator is confronted with an increasing amount of information for the identification of the plant’s status and its process optimization. In case of errors and failures, he also has to react appropriately under high time pressure. To support the operator in process control, this thesis designed and realized an integrated 3D process data visualization with an adequate interaction concept for selected processes. The benefit regarding fault and error detection compared to a 2D data visualization was proven empirically.
