Abstract:
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) control fundamental physiological processes such as proliferation and differentiation. HDAC inhibitors (HDACi) induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of tumor cells. Therefore, they represent promising cancer therapeutics that appear particularly useful in combination therapies.
